Tier 3 is proud to be a NetApp
Gold Service Provider.

A proven storage infrastructure is an essential element of the services that Tier 3 provides to customers ranging from small business to large enterprises. Our clients expect their stored data to be secure, be available immediately, around the clock, and they also want to make sure that it is reliably backed up for disaster recovery (DR) purposes.

“With NetApp MultiStore, our customers can have their own private storage island provisioned in about an hour with all the features of an individual, dedicated SAN: DR, scalability, and more.”
Jared Wray, CTO of Tier 3.

Tier 3 leverages NetApp MultiStore capabilities to offer clients secure, transparent enterprise storage capabilities, including their own security zones, authentication, and naming conventions. Tier 3 is also using SnapManager® for Virtual Infrastructure to support the efficiency, flexibility, and scalability of hundreds of virtual servers. SnapManager for Microsoft® Exchange helps Tier 3 streamline storage management and simplify configuration, backup, and restore operations for clients using Tier 3 services to host Microsoft Exchange server databases. In addition, we simplify management of our NetApp storage infrastructure using Operations Manager and Protection Manager. The Tier 3 team uses Protection Manager to establish policies that define how data is protected and Operations Manager to obtain a consolidated picture of all of the company’s storage resources, regardless of their physical location, to monitor performance and capacity metrics.

Cloud Services

Platform as a Service

The Tier 3 Enterprise Cloud Platform provides an agile, self-optimizing infrastructure for mission-critical, production applications. Customers realize the benefits of lower TCO, dynamic scaling, by-the-hour utility pricing, and built-in disaster recovery without sacrificing control, quality of service, security, and performance.

Data Backup and Restoration

Secure, highly scalable, data back up and restoration are included in the Tier 3 Enterprise Cloud Platform service. Snapshot technology maintains data images for 14 days with the two most recent images stored offsite in an alternate datacenter. For on-premise data protection, customer backup and virtual drive technologies are leveraged.

Disaster Recovery

Disaster recovery is built into the Tier 3 Enterprise Cloud Platform and automatically included in every deployment. Three data copies, two mirrored and one stored offsite in a geographically diverse location, are preserved via a rolling 14-day snapshot. If a major disruption occurs, services are live in a secondary data center within 8 hours of the interruption.
